Vendors:

We are proud to be able to pair this year with the Telluride Wine Festival and offer a one-day arts fair on Sunday, July 1st, 2007 in Elks Park (across from the courthouse) in downtown Telluride, Colorado!

Who:  Any local artist who has a Telluride Business License and a State of Colorado Sales Tax License (vendors will be running their own booths, collecting payments and paying their own sales taxes).  Vendors may pair with other vendors (who may already have these licenses), please coordinate on your own as TCAH and the Wine Festival will not be able to coordinate for you.  Preference is given to artists living within a 50-mile radius of Telluride.   We are proud to include for the 2007 Wine Festival Arts Fair the following Artists:

Shirlen Heath, Mountain Mama Rocks, Leigh Seikel, John Hopkins, Telluride Truffle, Reenchanted Earth, July* Five, MoMo Ornaments, and many more!

What:  The Telluride Wine Festival Arts Fair is an opportunity for local artists and artisans to feature their creative and unique work under one tent. No imports, manufactured, commercial, kit work or re-sales will be allowed. All work must be original and produced by the exhibiting artist.

Where: The Telluride Wine Festival Arts Fair will be held under a 30'x50' tent in Elks Park (Across from the courthouse).

When: The Telluride Wine Festival Arts Fair will be Sunday, July 1st from 10 am to 6 pm.

How much:  $75 per booth. 20 booths are available. Please make checks out to TCAH.  Table sizes will most likely be 2.5' x 6' , with 4-6' aisles in between rows of tables.  Tables will be provided courtesy of the Wine Festival (remember to bring your own chair!).

Applications: All information and answers to your questions are set forth on the registration form.  Deadline for late registration is  Wednesday, June 20th.  You will be notified of your registration the following Friday (a week before Wine Festival weekend begins).   Early registration closed May 25th (early registrants are listed by name in the Wine Festival brochure, as they needed a month's advance notice to print). Late registrations will be processed on a space-available basis, based on date of postmark.   Your space is not secure until payment is received.  You may download the pdf application here.  Send your application, your liability release and your fees to: TCAH, PO Box 152, Telluride, CO, 81435.  Registration fees are not refundable after May 28th.

*Please note the TCAH Office will be closed June 1-15.  Please do not fax in applications during this time, thank you!

Benefits: The Wine Festival has generously given participating artists a $10 discount on Friday's Grand Tasting and Saturday's Feast Tickets. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, fill out this form and fax it to the Wine Festival Office at 970-728-4865.  They tend to sell out quickly, so don't hesitate to take advantage if you're interested!  Please do not contact the Wine Festival about the Art Fair, as TCAH is handling the  organization and set-up.

Inventory You will track your own inventory and sales.  Sales taxes (Telluride & State) are typically due the 20th day after the month of your event (i.e., August 20th).

Space layout:   Click here to download a .pdf map of the layout [to come after June 22nd].  If you have specific preferences or needs for your space, you will need to provide them.  This includes electricity (batteries), or very very long extension cords, cell phones for credit card machines, etc. etc.  Tables will be provided, but bring an extra just in case.  You will provide your space set up, including linens, walls, price tags, display items, etc.  Please remember to bring a chair!

Tax Licenses.  Effective July 1st, the Town of Telluride will require vendors to have a separate Telluride tax license.  Telluride Business Licenses are available through the Telluride Town Clerk's Office (728-3017), Telluride Sales Tax Licenses will be available through the Town Financial Office which Renee will coordinate with Lynne Beck upon your registration by May 23d (after May 23d, please secure your own license by calling Lynne at 728-2152), and a Colorado Sales Tax License (which taxes care of state and county taxes), is available at the State's web site.

If you don't already have a Colorado State Sales Tax License, and this event is the only business you plan on doing in Colorado, you will need to fill out the State's Special Event License Application. This application meets both the State and County requirements for special events; no special event license is needed for San Miguel County. A copy of the license application can be printed off at Form DR0589. If you are applying for the license with less than a month before the event, it is suggested that you go to a Department of Revenue office to submit your application. They will give you a temporary license at that time.

The Town of Telluride tax is 4.5% and the State of Colorado is 3.9% (2.9 to State, 1.0 to County), for a total tax of 8.4%.  Taxes may be paid anytime after the event and are due August 20, 2007.
